Hi!

I am using a Hewlett Packard ScanJet 7400c scanner.
I have the following problems using Dynamic Twain ActiveX control.

- Resolution cannot be changed if using source Windows Image Acquisition in Windows XP.

- Using the source supplied by HP (non WIA) the resolution can be changed as expected. The HP scanner application window does not disapper after AcquireImage. It can be closed when I close the host application which invoked it.

Kind regards

Zoltan Sutto

Hi Zoltan,

Thank you for using this forum. You are our first user of this new support system. :)

For your questions:

1. It is very likely that the capability negotiation of resolution is not supported by your Windows Image Acquisition source.

2. There are several ways to close the image acquisition window:

a. Set IfDisableSourceAfterAcquire = TRUE before acquiring an image so that the source will be disabled automatically after an image is acquired

b. Use CloseSource() or DisableSource() to close the image acquisition windows manually in the OnPostTransfer or OnPostAllTransfers event.

Hope it helps.

Sincerely yours,

Robert

Hi Robert,

IfDisableSourceAfterAcquire and DisableSource() did not help.
It works with CloseSource() only.

Thank you for your reply.
