Bonjour,

Merci

Hello gharbi amine,

Thank you for contacting us.

To be frank, I'm afraid I don't understand French. I just give a try with google translate, so please correct me if I misunderstood you.

Do you mean you can use Dynamic Web TWAIN to save images locally, while not able to upload them to server?

If so, may I ask which method are you using to upload the file? We recommend you to use the methods below if you use HTTP protocol:
HTTPDownloadEx
HTTPUploadThroughPost
HTTPUploadThroughPostDirectly
HTTPUploadThroughPostEx
HTTPUploadAllThroughPostAsMultiPageTIFF
HTTPUploadThroughPostAsMultiPageTIFF
HTTPUploadAllThroughPostAsPDF
HTTPUploadThroughPostAsMultiPagePDF
Please refer to the API list for details:
http://www.dynamsoft.com/help/TWAIN/WebTwain/index.htm

And below is a sample for upload fuction, hope it helps:
http://www.dynamsoft.com/Downloads/DownloadSample.aspx?DemoID=4

Please let me know if you need any further info.

Regards,

Hello,
Thanks for your response,
All my posts will be in English :)

No need to be afraid, you understood all the meaning of my problem :)

Your solution is working with an Action page written in "aspx".
Unfortunately i work with Lotus/Domino environment. I can't use this kind of Action Pages. I used a servlet integrated under the Server Domino, wich i call on my javascript file.

i had an error "connection with server reinitialized"

this is a part of the code in javascript :
Code:
function btnUpload_onclick()
{
         var strActionPage;
         var strHostIP;
         /*var CurrentPathName = location.pathname;
            var CurrentPath = CurrentPathName.substring(0,  CurrentPathName.lastIndexOf("/") + 1);
         */

         strActionPage = location.hostname + "/servlet/UploadReceiver";

            WebTWAIN.HTTPPort = 80;
         WebTWAIN.HTTPUploadThroughPost(location.hostname,0,strActionPage,"imageData.jpg");
            if (WebTWAIN.ErrorCode != 0)
                 {alert(WebTWAIN.ErrorString);
                 alert(WebTWAIN.ErrorCode);

                 }
            else //succeded
                        alert("Image Uploaded successfully");
}

Hello gharbi amine,

Thank you for explaining in English.

May I ask which language are you using for server side, I know it's not asp.net since you can't use "aspx". We also provide action page written in PHP or JSP. If one of these two applies, I can give you download address for corresponding sample.

Please let me know you need any further info.

Regards,

Hello

The action page is written in Java an i call it in my web page written in html/js.
My problem now is this function
Code:
WebTWAIN.HTTPUploadAllThroughPostAsPDF(strHostIP,strActionPage,"imageData.pdf");

Sometimes it returns "Connection with the server was terminated abnormally".
i found this topic but no solutions with it.

Hello,

After my last post, i found some issues to upload the document to my server.
unfortunately, now i have another kind of problem "Acces denied"

I need to authenticate my self before uploading the document.
I found this object "AllowPluginAuthentication Property"

but it doesn't work with the Activ X .
do you have some functions with the same similarities with this object wich are working with Web twain Activ X??
Thx

Hello gharbi amine,

For your case, please check the upload folder if you have write permission of it?

And may I ask which protocol you are using for upload, HTTP or HTTPs? If it's the later, you might need to check IfSSL property:
http://www.dynamsoft.com/help/TWAIN/WebTwain/index.htm

And may I have more details about the "Acces denied" situation? Does it indicate which file is denied, the actionpage, or the upload folder?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Hello Catherine,

I resolved the problem of the access, it was related with my Server.
I used http by the way.

Now i need to upload the document saved into an input file written on html or into a "rich text" a kind of field of domino Designer.

If i use the HTTPDownload Method where my document will be downloaded??

Is there some other ways ? Thx

Hello gharbi amine,

For this case, would you consider using SaveSelectedImagesToBase64Binary Method?
http://www.dynamsoft.com/help/TWAIN/WebTwain/Methods/method%20SaveSelectedImagesToBase64Binary.htm

You can save images as a base64 string, then sent it to target place with our method or your own.

Please let me know if it works for your.

Regards,

Hello gharbi amine,

I'm a little confused by your workflow. Do you want to upload the image in our control to a specific path and attach to your document, or do your want to download some images to our control to make them as a whole file?

And by "attach it in my document", could you give me more details about this operation, like what kind of document, how you want to attach it?

BTW discussing issues on forum is inefficient. To get quick reply, could you send an email to support@dynamsoft.com for me with details of your workflow. I will get back to you ASAP.

Thanks,

Finally,
My solution works fine :)
But i will explain you my workflow:
I needed to scan my file, upload it in my domino Server and then attach it into a lotus notes document created with "Form".

I found many problems, but finally i found the way to do all those tasks.

Thanks for your help.

By the way i heard a great news about the new version of the web dynamic twain based of HTML5, does it work on the IE,Chrome and Firefox??

Hello gharbi amine,

I'm glad to hear you made it work.

For the new version, yes, you are right. The new version will be based on HTML5.

The preview version can be download via:
https://www.dynamsoft.com/Secure/Register_ClientInfo.aspx?productName=WebTWAIN&from=FromDownload

The official 10.0 version will be released in a few days, which will work on Chrome and Firefox. To work with IE is in version 10.1's plan.

Please let me know if you need any further info.

Regards
