Hi,

If I try to use HTTPUploadThroughPost("localhost", 0, "/test/savetodb.jsp", "image.jpg") using HTML/javascript, I get a -2003 error. (I'm trying this from /test/scan.jsp which is able to save the displayed image as a TIFF using SaveAsTIFF(<<TIFF file name>>, 0)) but is unable to perform an HTTPUploadThroughPost.

scan.jsp (http://localhost:8080/test/scan.jsp)
savetodb.jsp (http://localhost:8080/test/savetodb.jsp)

Let me mention that savetodb.jsp is an empty HTML file. It does not declare any active x component (does it need to?). I'm just trying to find out whether the HTTPUploadThroughPost method works without actually saving the file on disk or database. So, there shouldn't be any write-permission issues.

My server is Tomcat 5.5 on Windows XP (SP2).

How does the active x component in my scan.jsp communicate with the target (savetodb.jsp) page?

Thanks in advance

Hi phistream,

It returns error -2003 because the action page savetodb.jsp is empty. We can send you a JSP sample using HTTPUploadThroughPost.

Is your registered Email the right Email?

Hi Catherine,

The email I've registered with is the correct one. It would be helpful if you could send me the JSP sample. Moreover, I assume I can use HTTP upload to SaveAsMultipageTIFF. Can your sample help me with that too?

Thanks

Hi Catherine,

Could you send me a sample using HTTPUploadThroughPost
I have a question about the method HTTPUploadThroughPost.

The fourth parameter of the method is String FileName. Is this just the fileName (FileName.tif) or the whole path i.e(C:\temp\FileName.tif)?

Please let me know.

Thanks,

I've sent a C# sample to your registered email box. If you need a sample in another programming language, please let me know.

Just the file name. The path of folder where the images are uploaded should be specified in action page. You can refer to the sample I sent you.

Thanks.
