Google Chrome Support?

Hi, can you tell me whether Dynamic Web TWAIN will currently work within Google Chrome (either as a Plugin, or as an ActiveX using Chrome's -allow-all-activex switch)?

If not, do you have any idea on when this is likely to happen?

Hi Jason,

Currently, Dynamic Web TWAIN doesn’t support Google Chrome. I have added your feature request to our issue tracking system for consideration of a future release.

Hi,

Can you tell me whether any progress has been made with Dynamic Web Twain support for Google Chrome?

Chrome now supports third party plug ins - can you tell me whether the Dynamic Web Twain plugin works in the latest Google Chrome?

I can't easily verify this for myself, as we have purchased the ActiveX version which definitely does not work. (Unless there has been an update to the ActiveX which allows the Google ActiveX shim to work with it?)

Hi Jason,

Our CTO has evaluated the feasibility, and we will work out an internal version of Dynamic Web TWAIN which supports Chrome, Opera and Safari on Windows in about a quarter. We will come up with a more detailed plan in about 2 weeks. I will keep you updated.

We are releasing Dynamic Web TWAIN v5.3 in May. The new version of Dynamic Web TWAIN Plug-in Edition will support Chrome, Opera and Safari on Windows.
