Dynamsoft TWAIN Products

Hello, I'm running your trial download examples using VB6 SP6.

I'm using a Canon Powershot A85 and successfully ran "AcquireImageWithDiskfile". However, when running "SaveImageAs JPG" I get the following runtime error message:

Method "DisableSource" of object "IDynamicTwain" failed.

Basically, all I need to do is to read each of the jpg files from the camera and display and/or store them on disk as Jpg. Any suggestions?

Hi Kevin,

For the problem you came across, we test the two samples and nothing wrong occurs.

We suggest you try using CloseSource method instead of DisableSource method(included in OnPostTransfer event) in "SaveImageAs JPG" sample code , and see whether such error still occurs.

It is possible that the DisableSource() method is not supported by your TWAIN source.

If there's still a problem, please let me know.

Thanks for your quick reply! I'm new to TWAIN and am eager to find any information I can get. Perhaps you can recommend some good books, URLs, etc. (As an independent Consultant/Programmer, I don't have access to many of the resources of larger companies.)

For example, I need to read all the stored images from a consumer-grade Canon digital camera, and store these as serially-numbered JPG file in a specified user directory, for subsequent processing. I'd guess that this is a common usage for your TWAIN library.

I'm sure that some sample code to demonstrate this would be appreciated by many programmers. I'm assuming that this is easily possible, but unfortunately my knowledge of TWAIN is a limiting factor.
