active x automatically being download on Apache system

We are using Apache/unix as our server and have Dynamic Web Twain 6.0 running on it. We would like to upgrade to 6.2, but are having problems getting the active X to automatically downloadthe upgrade. Do we need to do something to our pc's to set the security so it will download? Does Apache/unix automatically download the new active X?

Hi Icgray,

Technically, after you upgrade Dynamic Web TWAIN on your web server, your clients will be able to download the latest version automatically. To better pinpoint the cause of the problem, please check the following things:

1. You've updated the CAB file on your web server to the latest version.
2. Change the version number to 6.2 in your code:

3. The following security settings of IE on client machines have been set to "Prompt" or "Enabled":
• Download signed ActiveX controls
• Run ActiveX Controls and plug-ins
• Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting
